Pacu Fish Lariat with Rhodochrosite eyes.
The pacú inhabits the waters of southern Brazil, Uruguay, northern Argentina. They are a delightful culinary fish, often endearingly called the "river pig" because of their taste and versatility; a local cultural staple and homage to the native plants and animals that nurture the people and culture of Iguazu.
This jewellery peice is a part of the exhibition in collaboration with awasi Iguazu entitled "In situ": In Situ is a Latin phrase meaning "in the original location." It refers to scientific experiments conducted in the site under study.
In this collection I consider each jewelry artifact to be the result of my field research in the jungle - while on art residency with @awasiexperience ~ a carbon neutral
